Do Hydrogen Conversion Kits Work with Diesels?

If you have any interest in a) the environment, b) alternative technology, c) saving gas or d) saving money then you might already know about the new Hydrogen Conversion Kits that generate a small amount of HHO gas by electrolysis and then inject it into your car’s engine to radically improve fuel consumption and reduce emissions.

Until now, the emphasis has been on gasoline engines, because these dominate the auto market and are seen as the best place to start with this new technology.

But what if you own a diesel? Diesels are becoming much more common these days and already offer considerable fuel economy savings over their gasoline counterparts. But diesel fuel is even more expensive than gasoline, so there’s still a considerable advantage to be gained by fitting a Hydrogen Conversion Kit. So, I’m pleased to report that, yes - Hydrogen Conversion Kits have been successfully tested on both diesel family cars and much larger trucks and vans.

If your diesel engine is not turbocharged, then installation is simple. By drilling a small hole in the inlet manifold in the direction of the airflow, to create a venturi effect, and attaching the HHO pipe from your hydroxy gas generator. This will create a low pressure space above the water in the generator and improve HHO production. If you have a turbo, you need to be a bit more careful where you install the inlet pipe because the inlet manifold is, of course pressurized, that’s what the turbo is for, after all. So the solution is to attach the inlet pipe ahead of the turbo in the low pressure area, because we require a vacuum to promote gas production from the generator. No problems with pre-ignition have been reported and economy improvements with diesels have been just as impressive as with gasoline engines.

There are a number of venues around the country where drivers who have fitted Hydrogen Conversion Kits regularly meet to discuss their projects and demonstrate their installations.
